ANTI-SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING STATEMENT 2026
This statement is made pursuant to Section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps Zed Logistics Ltd has taken to minimise the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and supply chains.
Introduction
Zed Logistics Ltd is committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in all aspects of our business operations. As a logistics and transport service provider, we recognise our responsibility to ensure that our activities — and those of the organisations we work with — are conducted ethically and in compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of professional integrity and ethical conduct. Our internal policies and procedures are designed to ensure compliance with current legislation and to promote transparency and accountability throughout our operations.
Our Organisation and Operations
Zed Logistics Ltd operates as a courier and logistics service provider, delivering transport and related services across the UK.
Our supply chain primarily consists of UK-based suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers supporting our transport, vehicle maintenance, fuel supply, and operational requirements.
Our Commitment to the Modern Slavery Act 2015
Zed Logistics Ltd fully supports the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and is committed to the elimination of modern slavery, servitude, forced labour, and human trafficking.
As an equal opportunities employer, we are dedicated to maintaining a respectful, inclusive, and non-discriminatory workplace. We encourage an open culture where employees feel confident raising concerns without fear of retaliation. Our whistleblowing policy is accessible to all employees and forms part of our wider governance framework.
Our recruitment and people management processes are designed to:
- Ensure all employees have the legal right to work in the UK
- Conduct appropriate pre-employment checks, including identity verification and, where relevant, DBS checks
- Safeguard individuals from exploitation, coercion, or abuse
We do not knowingly engage in business with any organisation that supports or is found to be involved in slavery, servitude, or forced labour.
Our contracts with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors include provisions allowing termination in cases where there is evidence of reputational damage or breaches of the Modern Slavery Act. Where suppliers operate under their own terms and conditions, modern slavery and anti-bribery compliance requirements are incorporated into new and renewed contractual arrangements wherever practicable.
Policies Relating to Slavery and Human Trafficking
Our Anti-Slavery Policy is available to all employees alongside our other company policies and procedures. It is reviewed annually as part of senior management oversight and reflects our commitment to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to prevent modern slavery within our operations.
We are committed to acting ethically, with integrity and transparency, in all business dealings and relationships.
Given the nature of our business and the geographic location of our supply chain, we currently assess the risk of modern slavery within our operations to be low. However, we remain vigilant and proactive in monitoring potential risks.
Current and Future Actions
During the next financial year ending December 2026, Zed Logistics Ltd intends to:
- Conduct sample compliance checks on selected suppliers, particularly smaller or higher-risk providers, to ensure adherence to the Modern Slavery Act
- Deliver targeted refresher training to relevant employees to ensure awareness of modern slavery risks
- Embed modern slavery awareness within employee induction processes
- Continue reviewing supplier onboarding procedures to strengthen due diligence measures
