NET ZERO COMMITMENT Policy

Zed Logistics

1. Our Commitment

Zed Logistics is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. We pledge to reduce our emissions as close to zero as possible and to offset any residual emissions through verified carbon removal initiatives.

Our commitment aligns with global efforts to limit average temperature rise to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels. We recognise our responsibility to minimise our environmental impact and to operate in a sustainable and transparent manner.

2. Target Date

Zed Logistics aims to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2050. We will establish interim targets to ensure measurable progress toward this goal.

3. Emissions Reduction

We are committed to significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions across all applicable scopes, including:

  • Scope 1: Direct emissions from company-owned vehicles and operations.
  • Scope 2: Indirect emissions from purchased energy.
  • Scope 3: Relevant indirect emissions across our value chain where applicable.

Our objective is to eliminate all non-essential emissions through operational efficiencies, fleet improvements, and sustainable business practices.

4. Carbon Removals and Offsetting

Where emissions cannot yet be fully eliminated, Zed Logistics will invest in credible, independently verified carbon removal and offset projects. These may include reforestation, afforestation, and other recognised carbon sequestration initiatives.

5. Measurement and Reporting

We are committed to measuring, monitoring, and transparently reporting our greenhouse gas emissions and climate impact.

Where appropriate, we will align our reporting with recognised frameworks such as the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and other relevant industry standards to ensure accuracy and accountability.

6. Alignment with Science

Zed Logistics supports science-based climate action and will align its targets, where feasible, with recognised guidance such as that provided by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), ensuring consistency with a 1.5°C pathway.

7. Action Plan and Strategy

To achieve our Net Zero target, Zed Logistics will implement a structured sustainability strategy, which may include:

  • Transitioning to low-emission and electric vehicles within our fleet
  • Improving route optimisation and operational efficiency
  • Increasing the use of renewable energy where feasible
  • Promoting sustainable procurement practices
  • Engaging employees, drivers, and partners in environmental responsibility initiatives

8. Review and Continuous Improvement

This policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure ongoing relevance, effectiveness, and alignment with best practice and regulatory developments.

Zed Logistics is committed to continuous improvement in reducing its environmental impact and contributing positively to the transition toward a low-carbon economy.
